I work now as an Industrial Designer of a furniture and product company in Makati. The salary is quite low because it’s my first “real” job daw and it’s their first time to hire a fresh grad like me. All of their employees are really good and very organized, so they’re like testing me out. I turned down 2 super good paying companies for this job. They are both stable and known companies and they are now tempting me to leave my job and work for them. I appreciate their kindness and interest but the work is not for me. Well, they are offering me a Designer work but it’s a not-so-Industrial-Design-job. So this is really challenging for me because I have to commute 2-3 hours going to work and 2-3.5 hours going home and I have to budget my salary/”allowance” everyday. Yes, I can’t deny or hide the fact that it’s going to be tiring every single day, and it’s tempting to leave that company before it’s too late (knowing that the other 2 promised to still welcome me with open arms if I quit my current job), but I know deeeeep down in my heart that this work is what I need for now. It’s kinda sad nga lang kasi I will eat dinner alone every night, and my little brother’s asleep/sleepy na pag uwi ko. But I think I really need to make these sacrifices in order to grow as a designer and be more independent. Seryoso, excited na ako maging magaling. And I know this job will help me to take that first step or level up a little/more. Aaand of course, I can never stress this enough, but this work REALLY makes me happy. :)

Anyway, just to be clear, I don’t have a crush on you, I just admire your style of teaching. I know I’m very silent in class and I don’t recite that much (and most of the time sometimes I don’t look at you because I’m doodling), but I really learned a lot from you. So yeah, THANK YOU. You’re a brilliant Professor. :’)
